Thank you for your interest in the 2008 SBO/SBEAP National Conference.
The 2008 Small Business Ombudsman/Small Business Environmental Assistance Program National Conference will be held on June 17-20, 2008 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, at the
Crowne Plaza Hotel Harrisburg-Hershey. This conference
is being designed specifically for state SBOs/SBEAPs, other small business environmental assistance providers, US EPA, and small businesses. Session topics
will range from technical rule/policy updates to program and personal development issues. Opportunities will be available for programs to network and share compliance assistance tools.
For materials and presentations from past conferences, go to
www.smallbiz-enviroweb.org/sba/conferences.html. This annual conference is a wonderful
opportunity to share tools your program may have developed to help
small businesses with their environmental needs.
Online registration for the conference is
now open! Go directly to the Registration
page. If you have already registered for the conference and still
need to pay, go directly to the
credit card payment form
or check/purchase order
payment form. Also, please fill out the payment
form that pops up after you submit your registration even if you are not
paying the fee right now--we are keeping track of how people (will) pay.
Thanks!

NOTE ON GREENING AT THE
CONFERENCE: The Crowne Plaza Hotel Harrisburg-Hershey is working closely
with the conference planning committee to make this the greenest conference
ever! Some of the greening actions for the conference include:
requiring requests for linen and towels to be changed; recycling plastic, glass,
and cardboard; shutting down floors during low occupancy, paper recycling in the
conference area (already recycle in offices), green cleaning, donating full
trays of food, and providing extra food to employees. Some actions still
being discussed include possible provision of bins in public spaces and working with PADEP on
alternative energy applications. Look for a poster at the conference that will detail all
greening actions. Thanks to Stacey Washington, SC DHEC, for her work with
the hotel on all of these greening activities.
