Monday

Battlefield Monuments

 

 

 

 

There will be an optional trip to Gettysburg from 1:00pm to 7:00pm on Monday before the conference.  Make sure you check off this activity on the conference registration form to reserve your space(s).  The cost will be $25/person, including transportation and tickets.  Please register on the conference registration form and also let Dale know that you are planning on attending.  It is estimated that it will take approximately 45 minutes each way from the hotel.  The first stop will be the renovated Visitor Center and Museum to see an orientation movie, and then a two hour tour with a Licensed Battlefield Guide and Military Historian.  Gettysburg National Military Park is a 6,000 acre park with 1,328 monuments, the largest collection of outdoor sculpture in the world.  For more information, go to www.gettysburg.com and www.gettysburgfoundation.org.  PLEASE NOTE:  If you are interested in going on this field trip, please let Dale Kaplan know ASAP.  There will be a checkoff box on the registration form, but Dale needs numbers ahead of time for planning purposes.  Deadline is May 28 to get reservation information and payment to Dale.  Send checks to:  Dale Kaplan, Kaplan's Careful Cleaners, 3607 Market Street, Camp Hill, PA 17011.  Contact Dale as soon as possible to let him know you are interested:  717/737-0572, cell 717/979-7787, kaplans1@aol.com.  

 

Tuesday Morning:

The State Capitol Complex

 

 

 

 

There will be an optional free guided tour of the Capitol on Tuesday morning from 9am to 10am.  Make sure you check off this activity on the conference registration form so that your spot(s) are reserved for this tour.  Meet in the hotel lobby at 8:45am to walk over together.  Go to Capitol Tours and Welcome Center for more information.

 

Tuesday Night:

Plan for a Crowne Plaza reception for conference attendees from 6:00-8:00pm. Appetizers will be served.  Make sure you check off this activity on the conference registration form if you plan on attending.

 

Wednesday Night:

 

 

 


 

80 tickets have been reserved for the 6:30pm Wednesday night Harrisburg Senators baseball game.  Make sure you check this activity on the conference registration form and pay $6 per ticket to Bob France (PRIZIM Inc.).  The Harrisburg Senators play at Commerce Bank Park on City Island, and can be reached on foot from the hotel.  For more information about the baseball team, go to:  Harrisburg Senators Baseball.

This evening you will be able to take a trip to Hershey Park. To register for Hershey Park, please make sure you check this activity on the conference registration form and pay $9 for each person's bus costs to Bob France (PRIZIM Inc.).  Note that you will be responsible to pay for your Hershey Park tickets upon arrival at the park gate.
