Whether you are an old hand at
providing multimedia assistance or just considering expanding into multimedia,
this training program will help develop your knowledge and update you on the
latest regulatory changes. The half-day training will provide a quick overview
of environmental regulations that typically affect small businesses including
hazardous waste, SPCC plans, and Underground Storage Tanks (UST). It will also
cover recent regulatory changes that affect small businesses. For example, in
many states, changes to UST regulations have resulted in stepped up regulatory
inspections and SPCC regulations changed in 2005, 2006, and are subject to
change again in early 2008. After the overview, trainers will go in-depth on
one or two topics. One area will likely be hazardous waste, with a focus on
waste determination and generator status. Participants will be provided with a
list of resources and fact sheets on the topic areas. |
|
4:45pm-5:45pm Newcomer Orientation |
|
This training is for participants who are new to Clean Air
Act 507 Programs, or have not participated in the national network. Individuals
who want to refresh their knowledge of the 507 programs or learn more about
programs in different states will also want to attend. The training will cover
regulatory requirements, how different states have implemented their programs,
and responsibilities at the federal level. It will also introduce the national
network including the National Steering Committee and the subcommittees such as
the Technical Subcommittee and the Measurement Subcommittee. The National
Compliance Assistance Panel (NCAP) will also be introduced. This training will
help you understand the legal requirements under the CAA and show you how to get
more involved with the national network. Participants will be provided with
